City Student TECH CORPS 2.0 is a new program for students who have successfully completed the City Student TECH CORPS Program. CSTC 2.0 gives students the opportunity to continue their exploration of educational and career opportunities in the field of technology. Students complete 32-weeks of technology training focused on A+ Essentials and a 10-week summer internship. The TCOH/NSBE Jr. Chapter is also a major component of this program. The Chapter introduces students to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics educational and career pathways. The overarching goal of the program is to support and encourage students to attend college and pursue technical degrees. CSTC 2.0 was created in response to 90+% of City Student TECH CORPS students and parents who have asked to continue their TECH CORPS experience. (As a volunteer you will use lessons developed by TECH CORPS Ohio to introduce students to Level II computer hardware and troubleshooting, equivalent to A+ Essentials. And you will also assist in NSBE Jr. activities, such as math tutoring and robotics team advising.)
Club TECH CORPS 1.0 is an exciting program developed by TECH CORPS Ohio and sponsored by the AEP Foundation. This program is designed to introduce elementary students to technology and all its possibilities. Club TECH CORPS includes hands-on, interactive activities tied directly to national technology standards for the 3rd-5th grades and focused on the fundamentals of Computer Programming, Robotics, Informatics and Digital Media. And like all TECH CORPS programs, is lead by a team of tech-savvy volunteers from the community. (As a volunteer you will use lessons developed by TECH CORPS Ohio to introduce students to Basic Computing topics, including: MS Word, Excel, email and internet, basic hardware identification, programming, and robotics with a focus on using the technology to assist with student's academic achievement.)
