TECH CORPS Ohio is a national non-profit organization committed to bringing technology into K-12 schools. We collect Personal Identifiable Information from people on a voluntary basis. That is, people who wish to participate in and benefit from TECH CORPS Ohio programs, as a volunteer, teacher, or school administrator. We will ask for your name, address, phone number and other contact information. We will not ask for your social security number, drivers license number or credit card information. The information collected will be used to disseminate program information, administer volunteer programs and provide additional resources within TECH CORPS Ohio programs. We do not sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose this information to outside agencies. TECH CORPS Ohio operates on a state-to-state basis, via our state chapters. The state directors of individual chapters will have access to the contact information of people registered in their state. The national organization will have access to the information for the National Registry database administration as well as programmatic purposes. We are committed to the security of your data. In order to safeguard that information, access is password protected by the user, our administrative privileges are password protected, employee access is limited to administrators and state directors, and in certain instances, to school administrators. It is not publicly accessible. We may periodically send requests to our members to update information, indicate if they are still interested in participating in TECH CORPS Ohio programs, for surveys or other purposes pertaining to TECH CORPS Ohio programs. You will always have the opportunity to update your information. Registration requires you submit a user name and password. These are the means for you to gain entry to your account to update or correct your information. If at any time you wish to not participate in TECH CORPS Ohio, you can opt-out by sending us an email at info@techcorps.org. If you have been in direct contact with a state director, you should contact them directly to opt-out. TECH CORPS Ohio will also notify our state directors, but direct contact from the user would expedite their opt-out. The users information becomes inactive in our National Registry database, and is no longer available for viewing by national or state staff for programmatic purposes. If, however, you decide to participate again in TECH CORPS Ohio, we reserve the right to access your prior information at the time of renewed contact or participation.
